Key Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain back-end for web applications
Produce clean, high-quality code
Maintain existing static and dynamic web sites
Interact with front-end development team
Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, trends, and standards

Requirements

Must have experience leading a team of developers
5+ years of Java development
5+ years working experience in Web Based Application development using Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, Servlets, JSP
Experience with JDBC and databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or any other relational database
Experience with Application Servers such as Apache/Tomcat/Spring/ Hibernate Framework
Fundamental knowledge of back-end web development
Proficiency with server-side programming in Java AND/OR Python with knowledge of web application frameworks, such as Django
Experience with scalable, multi-server, multi-database web development is a plus
Familiarity with version control and issue tracking systems (e.g. SVN + Trac)
Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus
Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
Strong knowledge in object oriented design and modular software architecture
Strong understanding of advanced Java topics such as extreme multithreading, and debugging of Java applications
Experience with Linux environment.
Exposure to Rich Internet Applications
25% Travel to Los Angeles
